Brandon Ray is a stage director with over 15 years of experience, and is currently the Artistic Director of Chicago's Red Tape Theatre. He was formerly the inaugural Artistic Director of New Leaf Theatre, where he directed the Joseph Jefferson award-nominated productions of As It Is In Heaven and the US premiere of David Hare’s The Permanent Way. Besides Red Tape and New Leaf, Brandon has also directed for The Neo-Futurists, Collaboraction, the side project, Petri Dish Theatre, The Market House Theatre in Paducah, KY and McMurry Summer Dinner Theatre in his home town, Abilene, TX.

Brandon received his MFA in Directing from Illinois State University’s School of Theatre and Dance and taught theatre and literature at both Prairie State College in Chicago Heights and the University of St. Francis in Joliet. He currently lives in Oak Park with his son Charlie.
